Soccer Fields in Needham

The Needham Soccer Club utilizes Fields in Needham through the Needham Park and Recreation and the Parks and Forestry Department.

Recently through the Fields of Dreams initiative, the Needham Sports Council was established to privately fund the renovation of two field complexes in the town, Memorial Park and DeFazio Field. Three new state of the art synthetic turf fields with lights were built including two additional natural turf fields, one state of the art track, one softball field and three 90 foot baseball diamonds.

The Needham Soccer Club is proud to say we supported this monumental community amenity.

Field Status Alerts

Sign up for the "Notify Me" service offered by Needham Park & Recreation to receive email you field status updates Monday - Friday by 3:00 PM.

The Needham Soccer Club will make judgments on field closings during on weekends during the season. Sign up for a StatusMe account to receive both email and/or TXT Field status updates from the club on Saturdays and Sundays. Updates are typically done by 7:30 AM and throughout the day. Updates will also be shown on the Needham Soccer Club home page of our website.

	Field Status

When a field is CLOSED no use of the closed field or the surrounding area is permitted; Use ONLY NSC permitted times assigned by the field scheduler.

If Lightning occurs, clear ALL fields IMMEDIATELY; do NOT stand under trees or light poles.

	NSCJA - POLLARD SCHOOL TRAFFIC FLOW & PARKING PLAN - PRACTICE NIGHTS ONLY

Our Traffic Flow and Parking Plan For Practice Nights will need to be followed with no exceptions. This is no different from Traffic Flow and Parking details the public schools require during school hours. - MAP LINK for PLAN
Field Location Map

Pollard Back Parking Lot – Used for Coaches and Trainers.
New Access Road from Back Parking Lot –Used for pickup and drop-off ONLY.
Pollard Upper Parking Lot (Off Harris Ave.) – Used by parents who want to drop off, stay, watch and pickup their child. Walk down the paved path alongside the school to the field.
DeFazio Parking Lot – Overflow, used by parents who want to drop off, stay, watch and pickup. Walk across lower DeFazio Fields (Healy and Warner Baseball Fields) under Railroad Bridge to Pollard Field.

ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING WILL BE ALLOWED ON BRADFORD STREET AND GLENWOOD RD.
OR IN FRONT OF HOMES AND DRIVEWAYS

All Parking Spaces are Available for Saturday & Sunday Games

PLEASE FOLLOW THE TOWN’S GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY
AND BE RESPECTFUL TO ALL THE HOMES IN THE AREA.

	Important Information regarding field usage

Please read the following information regarding field usage and using the lighted fields:

Lights will start to come on 15 min prior to sunset. Today (4/15) that would mean 7:05pm (to the nearest 5 min)
Lights will go off exactly at 9 PM. THIS IS NOT FLEXIBLE.
If NSC is NOT scheduled to use the field past 7:30 the lights will be shut off at 7:50pm. As we get into the month of May the lights will not be used at all on some evenings.
Coaches with teams scheduled to use the field during lighted hours must contact the field scheduler if they cancel practice or leave the field early. This will enable us to shut the lights off when not in use.
NSC must coordinate with other organizations using the fields so as not to disrupt their field use.
Late practice times, 7:30 - 9:00PM, are only assigned to U14 and older teams.
Turf fields can accommodate any age group for practices & clinics. However, only 11v11 goals and 11v11 field markings are available at this time on the turf. Therefore, only teams playing 11v11 are assigned those fields on game days.
